Re: Envelope addressing

The only time I write something like "Attn: Autograph Request" is when it's a part of a certain persons fan mail address. The only time I've ever done anything else special to the envelope is when I sent to J K Rowling. I did a doodle that covered the entire back of the envelope of Harry fighting the Basilisk in The Chamber of Secrets :mrgreen: And I use the word "doodle" loosely because I really can't draw that well for a 20 year old lol. But it definitely paid off that time!

But yeah, I dunno if I would put "Autograph Request" on there. Just make sure it always says "Do not bend". It also helps sometimes to make it stand out, like Ryan said. Maybe a little doodle, or stickers, or use different colored envelopes.

I have never written anything on the self addressed stamped envelopes that I've sent except of course the famous person's address and my address. I've gotten autographs from everyone that I have written to except a few, but I think that mine got lost in the mail.

I don't. I just address like I normally would. I know some people like to put little doodles and drawings on their envelope to make them stand out and that might help. {up}

So, im wondering do most people write "autograph request" on their envelope before they send it out? I don't normally but have been toying with the idea. Not sure if it would get it noticed sooner or just chucked in the trash. What does everyone think?
