The only time I write something like "Attn: Autograph Request" is when it's a part of a certain persons fan mail address. The only time I've ever done anything else special to the envelope is when I sent to J K Rowling. I did a doodle that covered the entire back of the envelope of Harry fighting the Basilisk in The Chamber of Secrets

And I use the word "doodle" loosely because I really can't draw that well for a 20 year old lol. But it definitely paid off that time!
But yeah, I dunno if I would put "Autograph Request" on there. Just make sure it always says "Do not bend". It also helps sometimes to make it stand out, like Ryan said. Maybe a little doodle, or stickers, or use different colored envelopes.
