I have about 40 autographs plus some from Studio Fanmail that I really don't count. (I just ordered them on impulse when i first started collecting.) Have you ever heard of the Pirates of the Carribean movies? I have authentics from Naomie Harris (Tia Dalma), Keira Knightley (Elizabeth Swann), Geoffrey Rush (Cpt. Hector Barbossa) and the standard APs from Orlando Bloom (Will Turner) and Johnny Depp (Jack Sparrow.) I mention that because it's the closest I've came to having a sub-collection based around a central theme. I'm no longer excited about the APs. Basically I just really like the actors and wanted to take a chance that some of what I wrote in the fan letter might be part of a report the celebs might actually get from their mail person. Namoie Harris was the first to write me a little note on the index card and that just tickled me so it's still one of my favorites.

I sent off for Bill Nighy's (Davy Jones) autograph on May 7, 2011.

My favorite autograph is the one from Dr. Jane Goodall.

Although I've been doing this off and on since 2007 I really haven't sent out that many requests. I'm still working on getting a system going since I plan on this becoming a lifelong hobby.

I can't say exactly how long they take, because everyone is different. But I can tell you how long it took me, and your waiting times may be similar.

Rita Simons (1 week via agency, maybe longer at EastEnders address)
Pam St. Clement (4 weeks)
Jo Joyner (2-3 weeks)
Shane Richie (2-3 weeks)

You will definitely hear back from Jo and Shane. It is unlikely that you will hear back from Tameka as she rarely signs. I sent to her not long after she first joined. I still haven't heard back. I have also since resent. Also, I have not seen a success on here from her. But you never know you may be lucky.

Of course, which ones have you sent. I have lots of EastEnders signed cast cards. A little over 120. :D So many, that my website is full up and won't let me upload any more. So there is a few more needing to be added. I'm thinking of creating a website just for my EastEnders ones.

Hi smartin. I don't know anything about Brit tv, but it seems like you're off to a great start within the short time you've been collecting. I hope you enjoy the hobby. Oh... have you ever seen Are You Being Served? That's about the one Brittish tv show I have watched. I think it's hilarious! Anyway, I'm glad you've found this board to share on.

I know who they are. Nice successes for someone who hasn't been doing it long. I collect mainly EastEnders autographs now, but when I started off I was collecting other actors too like you are. I am thinking about getting back into that. I am going to start to collect Harry Potter autographs. I also like Gavin and Stacey and Benidorm, so may get into that at a later stage. Also like Dragon's Den.

The only one we have in common is the Ant and Dec one. :lol: I'd be interested to see who you get in the future.

They are all britsh actors from programmes such as benidorm and gavin and stacey but a few are from other programmes
