That's ludicrous! I like Aerosmith, especially Steven Tyler but American Idol is what rejuvenated his career which wasn't doing all that great. That is way too much money, in my opinion but I'm sure some people will pay for it which blows my mind. :P Any ways, thanks for the info. It's interesting to know. lol :P

My favorite band now charges $125 for a meet and greet and some other goodies, and that's on top of the fan club fees. I'm getting pretty crappy tickets to their next concert in town because I didn't want to spend $500 for four people to get the meet and greet and closer seats. I think I'm in the...20th or so row, even with a presale.

I did a meet and greet with one of my favorite bands, RED. It was a bit more then a meet and greet though, as I got to go on their bus and they played a short acoustic set, and hang with them back stage for nearly an hour. Plus got a free admission ticket. It only costed $45, now that was an awesome deal.

Anyways though, I heard linkin park had meet and greets for upwards of $350.

Oh my gosh!!! That's absurd! :( It bothers me when I hear musicians charging their fans so much money...these musicians have so much already. I know they work for it but still...come on. Through out a more reasonable number that's less than $10,000! Just out of curosoty, what did they get for all the money they spent? They should get to party at Cher's home for a couple of days for that kind of money. Haha!!!! ;-)

Most outrageously expensive Meet and Greet VIP Ticket Costs

Hi,
I just went a a meet and greet for the Pretty Reckless (lead singer: Taylor Momsen; which is actually a good band so check them out) and I paid around $48.00 for the VIP ticket. I got a photo with 3 (out of the 4 member bands. Ben, the guitarist/back up vocals doesn't like to do meet and greets for whatever reason). Anyways, I live in Columbus, Ohio but they were sold out of the VIP and Toledo wasn't. Since I'm a huge fan, I bought one at the Toledo show. It was fun and I enjoyed meeting the band even though it was a 3 hour drive there and another 3 hours back but I don't get to do stuff like that very often so it was worth it. Anyways, despite gas and all, I though the meet and greet was not to bad with expenses (though they aren't an extremely popular band yet). Security was annoying though. If you're interested in knowing more about it, it's posted on FM. http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic ... 8&t=246985

Then it got me thinking, who are some of the most outrageously expensive VIP meet and greets you know of or maybe even went to? Any artist or band.

My example: I was flabbergasted when I heard Britney Spears was charging $1,000 per VIP ticket. I know she's a world-wide known star but that's A LOT of money. I don't think I'd pay that even for my most favorite musicians (unless I was filthy, stinking rich and money wasn't an option). Haha! :P

http://perezhilton.com/2011-08-08-awkwa ... 4I2spmvKSp (This annoyed me because these fans spent so much money...the least she can do is look like she's happy to be there!) :P

Any musicians you can think of? If you have any stories, feel free to list them...I know security can be a whole different story. :/

Thanks for your comments. Take Care,

gghi18 :)
