I've never tried writing via a record label, but I have had a few successes via venue, so thats worth a try too. If you write via venue, then I think its best to include something to be signed, as they may not have pictures with them.

A website like http://www.wayahead.com will tell you when and where people are performing.

Ok well thank you, i'll know who to ask if i have any more questions!

by Leigh » Sun Feb 20, 2005 8:20 pm

Well not really, I should have thought about it that there are management, pr, record companies PLUS venues haha silly me! If you need anymore help-just ask :)

by Blue_Kaz » Sun Feb 20, 2005 8:14 pm

Thanks! I suppose when you think about it is the only way  I just wanted to check

Well you can't really reach a band anywhere else than the record label or management and occassionally via venue. Just address the letter to the label or management company but at the top put the band or artists name.

IE:

Band Name
Label name
Address line 1
Address line 2
Postcode
Country

Hope it helps! :)

Ok, I'm quite new to auto collecting so I was hoping I could get some advice. If I want to write to a band, where would it be best to mail? The band themselves or the record label?
