Should I laminate an autographed index card?

I just bought a 3x5 index card signed by Peyton Manning. It is 100% authentic signed with a blue sharpie. I want to laminate it using my thermal laminator but was worried about possibly damaging it. I'm not selling it later so there's no need to worry about decreasing value.
