Hey,
I normally just say "I have enclosed a few photos and/or index cards that i hope you have the time to sign" and sometimes i put sticky note on the photos saying please sign :) ect :)

I usually say something along the lines of "I've sent along two photos, I hope you won't mind signing both of them."

Simple as that. 9 times out of 10 I get both back signed.

just ask politely.

i usually send either 2 pictures, or 1 picture and 1 dvd cover.

if im sending a pic and dvd cover i explain that since im a big film fan i'd like to have a few signed dvds, and that the picture would go into my folder.

just be polite and i dont think people mind that much.
