True - I can see your point.

Well, you must first understand that it's not the secretary making these decisions, but rather the celebrity themselves. Being rude in the letter is just inappropriate, as the person is merely doing their job. I can understand calling them out in a polite way, though.

Only thought about it.
In early 2006 there was a movie supposed to be called Johnny Kakota starring several fair to big name people like Carmen Electra, David Carradine, Billy Zane and a few others. Fans writing the director or main actor, IIRC, would get a poster-like photo signed by every name on the main cast. It looked awesome.

Soon it became evident that people were getting fakes back from the cast as all the signatures and personalization's looked the same. I'm not even sure if the movie was made, or if the actors, were even really part of it.

I thought about sending the photo back and had the enveloped stamped and written out but decided against it. Didn't want to risk a strange reply in the mail.

Most times I have been able to get a real signature (book signing purchases of Heston Stallone, Jerry Lewis off the top of my head), sent money to Ricardo Montalban asking for real one. I am thinking about Dick Van Dyke's secretary, as I have one item left that hasn't been ruined, and maybe being called out could result in a real one.

ANYONE SEND BACK TO SEC.?

Has anyone ever sent back a sec. signed photo with a new photo (and LOR) telling the sec. that they have some nerve falsely signing for someone else, don't insult my intelligence and tell them to ask the celeb. to sign it otherwise send it back to me and I will take it as the celeb. does not sign. I did not spend my time and money and effort to make a small connection with someone I admire only to receive a false signature - I could have signed it myself. If so and so doesn't sign make it public knowledge and stop deceiving the fans. I was thinking of trying it for the hell of it with Dick Van Dyke and Hulk Hogan.
