Hello,

I've an item that I know should be insured. However, to be insured, it must be authenticated. Does anyone have any idea of how much it costs for an authentication? And would it help if several items were authenticated instead of just one (I have several rare autographs from when I was younger)? Fyi - I'm at school at OSU (grad school) and have thought, for years, that these items should be insured (even my parents have advised it at times).

To be brief, the few items (of my larger collection) to be examined would be:

Signed 7x9 glossy of Yitzhak Rabin
Charles Schulz/Hank Ketcham oversized sketch (of, respectively, Snoopy and Dennis & Ruff)
Yellow legal pad sheet with a Bob Kane profile of Batman
ALS from Harper Lee (x2 - one is a full letter, the other just a missive)
ALS from Clyde Tombaugh discussing his discovery of Pluto

There may be other items I'd include, but these are the prime pieces from the collection (if I remember correctly. I'll go months without flipping through the ol' album, haha - and I've not collected a lot in the last 10 years).

So - thoughts on authentication? Or perhaps even what these would even fetch? I have an old Sander's Price Guide, but I don't know how much these are worth nowdays.
