I might try doing some to my work which is in a different postal area
You could try asking the actors management if you can find an email to see if they got your mail.

I don't know why the mail man would steal random parcels which could contain anything, maybe try writing paper work on it or a similar tactic.

o you ever worry that the postman is stealing your autographs? I'm in a real dry spell at the moment despite having around 40 outstanding requests. Some of them went to theatres and I'm really surprised that none of them came back. I had to complain to Royal Mail a couple of months ago because envelopes marked as 'Please do not bend' were being deliberately bent, almost folded, ruining the pictures inside. Since then, I've hardly received any where I was getting a few each week.

Anyway, last week I complained again about envelopes not arriving and got a reply telling me to submit a compensation claim for each one. Well, with this hobby it's pretty much impossible to tell when and if something was even posted so I can't really do that.

However, I don't know if this most recent complaint has been passed on but an autograph finally arrived yesterday! It would have been through the hands of my postman since my most recent complaint, so maybe things will change? The request was only sent a couple of weeks ago so I still don't know if any of my older ones will ever arrive. I think it might try using my parents address for future requests and see if my success rate goes up.
What autograph did you just get back ?

It's possible someone else in the chain is stealing them , doesn't have to be the mail man......

Since complaining about the bent envelopes to RM, they have stopped completely so perhaps I am being paranoid but it seems odd when I was getting them pretty consistently beforehand. Very frustrating, especially with theatre requests as I'd had a 100% response rate before. Now I haven't received a single one back.
One more thing if you originally complained about the bent envelopes it is possible the mailman is doing something now with your autographs but if that is the case complaining more now probably wont help because if that is in his character to do that then you are just scr*wed now because mailmen are out on their own and cant really be watched all the time like say someone at the actual post office that's on camera and stuff so if a mail man really wants to steal or dump your mail he probably could .That's why I say never complain in the first place because its like in a restaurant if I don't like the food I just never go back and leave no tip but I don't ask for new food because they might spit in it :? I try to stay in good with my mailman so he likes me and brings me all my mail.

wayne8942 wrote:OK, I have now put in another complaint to Royal Mail as I haven't received a single thing in two months now. I have worded it carefully so that I'm not accusing anyone of nicking, just querying if there's any reason why they're not turning up any more. I could just be unlucky but I think I may submit some more requests via a different address and see if anything turns up.
Yeah but you did get back the one you sent to yourself so honestly I think you are just overly paranoid but I think complaining about it is the worst thing you could do because now you have drawn negative attention to yourself with the post office and mailman and they also probably know now that you collect autographs so if they weren't actually taking then before who knows now lol I personally would never complain to the post office unless it was things I purchased or knew were coming and didn't but with autographs you don't know if you were suppose to get anything or not so complaining to the post office is not a smart thing to do because its very possible you just have not been lucky lately I mean I have had times where I get 1 or more autographs a week for a month and other times I get nothing for 2 months and I always send roughly the same amount of requests out on average.
