I love when The Open Championship is nearby, it's always an awesome day to head out an meet some amazing people, and this year was no different.
Over the course of the day I met loads of golfers including several Past Open Champions... several more were about, but not all signed everywhere or posed for pics.
First up was the man of the moment, Jordan Spieth... sadly I couldn't get a pic with him but he was kind enough to sign a ball for me... not bad for the winner of the first two Majors of the year, especially when you consider Tiger came nowhere near us despite being on the range and course.
Others during the day who signed balls including former winners David Duval, Bob Charles, Mark Calcavecchia, Mark O'Meara, Louis Oostuhuizen (who nearly won again last week!), Tony Jacklin and Tom Lehman. Other huge names on board signing balls for auction included Sergio Garcia, Luke Donald, Jason Day and Patrick Reed, while Jim Furyk signed a CWCUK vest for me.
All in all a brilliant day, and well worth almost 6 hours on buses to get there and back! There's some pics here >>>>>
