Forgive me if this sounds a bit stupid, but has anyone ever asked for a prop in a fan letter to a celeb (V.V)?

I was thinking of writing to Damon Lindelof (creator of Lost) via the Hawai set address and see if this would be possible. I'd love to get some Dharma Initiative Baked Beans or some other 'Lost' prop ( :lol: )
