$1,500!! That's a lot CDolan02 . I guess it shows how committed you are

I think I've spent close to $300 so far ... all out of my own pocket.

not exactly sure.
i started sending fanmail about 4 or 5 months ago, so it hasnt been that long.
at first, i would steal my parents stamps. then they started to realize when 4 would go missing at a time, and started making me buy my own.
and i've had a few RTS's, in which 2 sometimes 3 stamps were used on just the outside envelope.
so maybe...$60-$70 (with buying big sheets of stamps & packs of envelopes).
& my parents do not help me at all. they think the whole hobby is "stupid", even when i do show them what i get back in the mail. =/

I've spent a hell of a lot on mine, but considering its been over 8 years on and off i guess £200 isnt that bad.

But then again, that money could pay for a weekend away in Europe lol.

my parents pay for most of it, because it keeps me out of trouble and helps my writing skills or something. and my mom loves when i get home from schol to open the envelopes as much as i do. but, now and then, i throw in a couple bucks and i pay for most of the envelopes.

I keep record of everything I send and the cost so when I have time I can add it all up.

I don't know how much that I spent since I haven't sent out any SASE's yet but I have a few prepared but I know that I will be spending a lot on my hobby.

I bought 36 9x12 envelopes about 1-2 weeks ago at Wal-Mart for around $12.

I went back several days ago & bought more envelopes for about $10.

I wouldn't really know how much I have spent.

Though I don't always pay for the envolopes I pay for the image printing and stamps. So I'd think quite a bit, but at the end of the day it is worthwhile.
