That's the best advice for any autograph collector because since celebrities are busy, patience is the best as you mentioned.

It can take several weeks, months, even years for a celebrity to get back to you. There are some celebrities who never read their fanmail but a good amount of celebrities do read their fanmail & most will respond.

thanks nowandagain! :D

I'll try to me more patient! He does have more tour dates to go. His last concert is november 10th, so I guess I should wait until mid-november and if I don't get anything by the end of December, than I'm going to take it as unsuccessful.

thanks again!

Hi Janet :D

There's a chance you still may get something back ... or nothing at all :|.

Although we would all like a quick response, this is not always the case. It is good that you have emailed the venue and they have replied that they do pass on mail - at the very least you know that your request has gotten to someone with John (e.g. manager) or to John himself.

Has John still got tour dates left to go? Some like to leave their fan mail until some time after they finish their tour before answering it, others like to do it as they go along.

So, it's really a matter of being patient (that's the hardest part) and hoping something does pop into your mailbox soon. However, like any other request you send out, don't be disappointed if nothing comes back for a long time ... if ever.

Good luck!! I hope you do get a reply

Unsuccessful or impatience?

I sent a letter, pictures, and a SASE to a venue that John Mayer was playing at on September 30th and the concert was on October 4th. I haven't received anything yet and I even emailed the venue and asked if they fowarded fanmail and they said they did and they gave me an address. So either I'm being really impatient to get a respone or I'm not going to get a response. :? Does anyone think that if he was going to mail back my pictures signed, that I would've received them by now?

thanks!
