I've only sent photos, trading/game cards, index cards and (used) sports tickets in the mail.

It's really not a great idea to send out anything expensive or difficult to replace, since there's no guarantee that you'll ever see it again.

I've only sent pictures & those are pictures which I create myself. Never send any items to a celebrity which you wouldn't want to lose because your item could get lost, stolen, et al.
