I'm sorry guys, but I didn't start this thread as a discussion on preprints, but rather a suggestion board as to who you think would be successful.

Firstly, I do indeed create my own preprints. Secondly, these are more popular than normal preprints, as the customer can pick what photo they want, position of the signature, number of people on the picture, etc. Also, they look BETTER than normal PP's, because I use a special printing technique that makes the signature 'stick up' on the picture, slightly resembling an autopen, with varying line thicknesses. Thirdly, these ARE very popular on eBay, not because people don't know they're PP's because it is clearly stated in the auction, but because these people can more easily have a lot of PP's that look just like, or very close, to authentics, for a much cheaper price. Most of these people don't know about TTM.

Please use this thread for what it was started for. Regardless of your thoughts, though appreciated, there are many people who are very successful selling PP's on eBay, and I have the opportunity to do so to. Personally, I hate PP's and don't keep them in my collection. But others have other opinions.

a fake one at that. & being that it doesnt look like a standard preprint, it might throw people off. you should explain in your auctions that these are not real autographs, you created them yourself.

Another thing..Where's the challenge of buying an autograph? I mean I rather request one and knowing I did it myself instead of taking the "easy"way out and buying an autograph

by dgangel » Sat Feb 03, 2007 3:58 am

yeah I wouldnt buy them either. I definitly wouldnt purchase a preprint, so I really wouldnt buy a fake preprint :?

the only people I could imagine that would buy them, are people that have no knowledge that they are not real autographs.

like whosurdaddy said, you could just print one off of the computer.

I wouldn't waste money buying PP autographs on ebay that's for sure.

I can see selling preprints to make a buck as long as the preprints that are sold are the celebs actual signature which in most cases you see preprints of secretarials and forgeries. Why anybody purchases or collects these boggles my mind. you can go on line and copy any preprint you want. All preprints are good for is starting a warm fire on a cold night or filling up the trash bin on a warm sunny day.

Perhaps he takes the signature from an image search on the net, and then photoshops it into the pic...did anyone consider that?

I think that's what it means
