I'm not sure writing to movie premieres would be as solid as writing to a movieset. I have also never heard of anyone writing to a premiere or any successes through this method.

You're always welcome to try new ways of collecting, let us know how it goes if you do! {up}

Litoeggnut,
Via Venue = A request that is sent to a celebrity prior to them performing in an event (concert, play, etc). A VV should be sent and timed to arrive 2-3 days prior to the event. For example, Britney Spears is said to be a bad signer through the mail. However she is a great signer via venue. A good place to find out via-venue addresses is ticketmaster.com

(In the section called "Collecting Help" the admin has a post called "Autograph Abbreviations" that's where I got the Via Venue definition.)

I hope that helps.

Mimmi

I sent a picture and SASE to some stars at the address of their upcoming movie premiere. Is there any way that it will get to them?
