In my opinion you should still send a SASE. Why not get a cast autograph picture instead? You can write in your letter explaining that it's for a birthday present for your mom :)

Going to write to the cast of General Hospital as well for my mom..She's been watching the show for over 30 years.

I just hope they can supply the picture.
