I actually haven't....let me know what you think after you see it. :) I'm always up for a good show.

Thanks a lot. Have you seen Altar Boyz?

After living in NY my whole life and seeing tons of shows, I can safely say that there is rarely a "behind" when it comes to NYC theaters. The stage door is usually (USUALLY) on the same street as the main door, just off to the side. SPAMALOT is an exception, as the stage door is around a short corner, but most are right there.

Just wait by the door, not too close, and approach any celeb that emerges SLOWLY: some celebs get jumpy if someone comes running up to them in the dark in the city (I scared the crap out of Dick Cavett that way...:).

Good luck! And don't forget that you can hang around by stage doors even if you couldn't get tickets to the show. ;)

Hey, I don't know where the stage door is at the Majestic or the New World Stages, but your best bet is to arrive at the theatre about forty-five minutes before the show starts, so you have time to track down an usher, and ask them for directions to the stage door. It's easier that way because you're at the theatre, and you're more likely to have a better idea of where to go. Hope that helps!

Oh, and the cast may come out 5-10, up to 20 minutes afterwards. It really depends, actually.

I'm attending a couple Broadway shows in two weeks. Well, one Broadway and one off broadway. What I need to know is how to get autographs from them at the cast door, such as where the door is located and how long until they come out. The shows are:
Altar Boyz
Phantom of the Opera
