Bette Davis but I was only four when she died :(

Ginger Rogers
Gene Kelly
Fred Astaire

I was only little when they all died but I wish I'd written to them or asked someone else to :(

The old Batman villains
- Cesar Romero (The Joker)
- Burgess Meredith (The Penguin)
- Frank Gorshin (The Riddler)

However all three of the classic Catwomen and Eli Wallach's Mr. Freeze are still alive so I'll try for them.

Mstislav Rostropovich. He was considered by many to be one of the greatest cellists who have ever lived. He passed away before I started autograph collecting...

John Ritter (I loved him on Three's Company)
Jerry Orbach (Law and Order. I love that show)
Johnny Cash (He's different, since I wasn't collecting when he died, so I had absolutely no idea)

Brett Somers just died in September. UGH.

I'm glad I made you laugh.

Seriously though, it happened so many times that I'm ticked off because of it. :P

I have to agree with rpbluesman on this one, I wish I would've written Chris Farley. There weren't too many guys funnier than him as I was growing up, and the SNL cast members were so great, around that time, about sending out autographs, I don't know why I never got a letter out to him!
That whole, 'Livin' in a van down by the river' sketch is a classic and still cracks me up every time I see it!

Phil Hartman, too, as 'Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer', but especially Farley.

I really wish I had wrote to George Best and Steve Irwin before they died.
