Yeah...via venue is probably the very best way to go. Thats what i'm trying to do now. I got tons of cd sleeves that i want to send out to bands that are on tour. Its really fun in a way! I don't know why, exactly. I sent out ones to Rush, Poison, and Tom Morello. Hope i get those back soon. And i'm working on this summer for Alice Cooper, Rod Stewart, Flogging Molly, and Def Leppard. Good luck! :D

When sending via venue there are more chances in getting an authentic autograph I suppose, but you have to counter in whether or not the production office/company will pass on fanmail to the respected actor/actress. If sending to a band or artist it depends on whether the venue passes fanmail to performers. We have a thread on venues that do or don't. Carmelo is right though when he says that there are celebs who might only sign via venue. Just remember to send a photo or index card when sending via venue as celebs aren't likely to have any with them to sign for you.

Some celebrities only sign through via-venue. So for those specific ones there is higher chances of getting a feedback through via-venue. Most music groups only signed through via-venue

When you send via venue do you have a better chance at receiving an authentic autograph back or do you have the same odds if you send it to their primary address? Thanks
