Sorry, I am sure that collectors get really tired of this question, but I have spent 3 years trying to figure it out.
My daughter sends autograph requests as part of her school (she is homeschooled). We have been searching for a way to send a SASE to the UK. Our post offices do not carry and cannot order or access IRC's.
Royal Mail told me that if I purchase postage online it must be used within 24 hours or it expires.
I sent a few requests with US cash enclosed and only received one response. I have no way to convert cash that I'm aware of.
How do you send a SASE to the UK when you can't purchase postage? I have tried eBay, the post office and regional post office, and online. I feel like there MUST BE a way to do this. I want to include enough Royal Mail postage on an 8x10 for a return trip.
Does anyone have the definitive answer for international collecting post-IRC's? Even my local postmaster can't help!
If you can help me, I would be so grateful and would also have an eternally grateful 9 year old! She is dying to write her favorite Doctor Who stars! Thanks so much In advance and I'm sorry for beating this dead horse! hopefully there is a way!
