when Delta Goodrem was diagnosed with cancer I sent her a good luck bear, like the beanie kids you can buy. I didn't expect anything back from her i just wanted her to know i was thinking of her. Sen sent me a postcard & christmas card thanking me for thinking of her

Rather, they would like you to see their films/plays or buy their music. Often times, they even suggest a charity of theirs to donate to.

I could understand if you made something for the person that would be different. However, buying a present for them seems like a waste of money. They may never get it and you will be hurt that they never responsed to your generous nature.

I don't mean to criticize anyone. Spend your money anyway you like, but I thought maybe I am missing something?

Ya I agree but I guess if you had a celebrity you were a huge fan of that you might want to send something to them to show your appreciation.
