I can't find them here in the USA either. You have a few options:
1. You can try to trade other members for IRC's or stamps from the country you are writing to.
2. Some countries you can purchase stamps online. (where are writing to?)
3. I just send a dollar or two concealed cash, but I don't know how effective it would be with money from poland.
4. You could always just send a SAE and hope they pay for the postage
