Absolutely Andy.

If everyone who gets autograph, sells them. Whats the point of any celeb, giving you their ink.
If a celeb, is kind enough to give you a FREE AUTOGRAPH, then it's rude to sell it {down}

This is what, has stopped many celebs, from sending out authentics TTM, as an awful lot of them, end up on e-bay.

If I get more then one autograph, from a celeb, I give the other away, to help others, not for them to be sold on.

If you ask the celebrity nicely to get two autographs as you cannot afford to continue collecting if you get however much you get, so could they send you two and then you sell it for $5 on E-bay, give $2.50 to a charity pot and then $2.50 is enough to get a pack of stamps in the UK, if you include 33p
Sorry if this sounds rude, but I can't believe you have the cheek not only to ask, but to actually do this. The hobby is about collecting autographs, not getting extra autos and selling them to pay for the hobby!

Hello! ;)

I agree with scouser#1 - I only write to people I'm a very big fan of and really admire. :) So I don't mind the money too much, and because I only write to my favourite celebrities, I don't post more than 5 letters every week...

Regards,
Liz

A nice way to sum it up!

what i try to do is buy the cheapest and lightest envelopes and paper
and keep it under 1oz.
it stays to 3 stamps then
1 for actual envelope
2 for sesa!

im not too bothered about the money, it's worth it as you are getting autograph's of people that you admire and people you would love to get autographs from.
i would say i have spent more than £200 on stamps in the past 7-8 months

If you're serious about collecting, then yuou wont let money get in the way :lol: I collect 95% IP now so I cannot really comment, but I still find SASEs alot better than SAEs. It will increase your sucess rate by a mile. {thumb2}

It is expensive but as I love collecting autographs it is worth every cent.

I only send requests to people that I really admire so it is not that expensive in the end!

My mom doesn't really mind as long as i get something back :lol:
I've got a tonne of requests that i sent out ages ago which i haven't got back yet ... so she's a bit annoyed about that.
I usually send about 2 requests per week, which costs about 5 euro ... ;-) {thumb2}
