Only 1 or 2 times for me. Unless it's someone I'm a huge fan, I would try more than 2 times. (but for the moment it never happened)

only 1 time providing the address is correct. I've only made an exception 1 time where I sent multiple, I've never done that since in 17 years of collecting.

Maybe about 1-2 times if I'm not really a HUGE fan. But if it were someone I'm a HUGE fan of, I'd keep writing.

well i write until i get something then i may send one or two more times depending how much i like them

If I have never seen a success from them, I will wait maybe a year and try again. Then I guess I'd give up.

If I know that they sign, I will wait six months to a year, depending, and just keep on trying! The most I've written so far is three times.

I'm now trying to just limit my writing to celebs to VV. So if i don't get an answer from that venue, i will wait for another venue with them there and send to that one. I really don't like to give up LOL :lol:

i had to write to one footballer twice before getting a autograph and that was jermain defoe

I don't think your wrong. I think everyone has their own certain amount. I usually write two times, maybe three if they are my all time favorite. I usually give the first letter about 6-7 months. But that's just me. Like I just received Cody Linley's autograph, and that day I sent him out another one. Luckily I sent it to a different address then the first one so hopefully I will get a different picture.
