This strike isn't just effecting writers. For instance, the production of The Office has shut down entirely.

Without writers there are no new episodes to shoot.

I think this is a great time to write to agency addresses. I just received a success from Rainn Wilson. It could just be a coincidence, but it could also be because he has more time on his hands.

Writing to the actors shouldn't be affected. Only to the writers.

While some actors/actresses are picketing, they still stop in to pick up their fanmail. :)

The only mail that would be affected by the writer's strikes in Los Angeles and New York would be those sent to the writers. ;-)

Many of the shows being affected have already filmed, or episodes have been written for about half of their season. The actors and actresses might still drop by the studios to pick up their fanmail, or the studio will most likely hold it until filming picks up again.

I'm not to hopeful that it will be over soon. I understand your point but with the amount of shows already shutting down production it is not too promising and without any new scripts it is delaying many shows with more involved productions not enough time to shoot and do the best job that they can do. I am also not sure if they will hold any mail and for how long if this is the case.

I'm pretty sure you can go ahead and write. I really doubt the strike will last very long-there is way too much money to be made on both sides for them not to come to an agreement soon.

I am honestly believing due to the Writer's Strike writting to a venue is not going to get results or maybe even some return to senders. I wanted everyones input on this topic. I wanted to write to some of the cast of some shows but I am honestly wondering if it will even get to the celeb or the show.
