Yeah, that's like the same with e-mails! People write just to get it for free. I don't want to say that everybody does but many actually do!

I've had three successes via MySpace (I'm not saying who, though; I don't want their inboxes to get flooded with requests from non-fans), and two of them were personalized. It all depends on who you're writing to.

If you're writing to a relative unknown, or an up-and-coming actor / actress / musician, then I'd say the chances of getting an autograph are pretty good. If you're writing to a more well-known person, they may request that you send a SASE to their address (Melissa Joan Hart and Jamie Kaler from "My Boys" asked me to send a SASE to their agencies because it's easier for them to keep track of everything that way).

I have had a few successes from official Myspaces not so many though.

Sonya Balmores ( asked her about an adress to write to, she gave me one I wrote to that adress and later got an autograph)


Nate Haden ( Desire)- I also asked him about an adress to write to but he said for me that just send him my adress and 2 weeks later I got 2 signed photos one was personalized with a little note refering to sthing I had said in the email on the back from him.)

I've had one success through MySpace, last year from the music group "The 88". But thats it.
Just as someone mentioned before, it all depends on who you send to. Mayor celebs may recieve thousands of messages every day, and obviously dont read all of them, if any, while minor and not-so-famous celebs and groups respond to every single message they get. Either way, it never hurts to try. What's the worst thing that can happend? You dont get a response..

Give it a try but dont expect too much {thumb2}

(Have in mind that probably 3/4 of all "celeb-spaces" on MySpace is fakes, run by posers. Dont send a message if you're not 100% sure that its the real deal.)

I have had success from myspace a few times but as I prefer sending my own pictures it is not something I do often!

I've sent requests through MySpace on 5 different occasions. I sent three requests to minor celebrities, and two were sent to semi-major celebrities. I never heard from any of them. My MySpace sent mail box said that all 5 messages were read, but I never received a reply email, or anything in the regular mail from any of them.

Therefore, since I've never had any successes from MySpace, I'd say it's a really rare thing to get something from anyone on MySpace.

I prefer personalised ttm. ALOT of celebs don't read their myspace messages themselves! Even unlikely ones like smaller-scale rock bands
