I try to get all the celebs I have been a fan of for a long time, someone I know I will still be interested in 3 months later when the autograph arrives. If I have to make a choice, I usually pick the male, or the cutest male. :oops: Sorry, I guess that's part of being 17 haha.

That's an interesting way Gary. I have a list of people that I like to. Most are disney stars or the HP movies or from England... hehe.

The three people I am such big fans of are Abigial Breslin, Alyson Stoner and Emma Watson. The others that I write to are just people I saw in a movie or in a TV show and I enjoyed it. I wrote to Alyson and I hope she replies back :D I'd love to stay in touch with her. Haven't written Abbie yet and I"m waiting for the last HP movie to finish till I write to Emma. Keep the 'How to decide' comments coming :D

much like the guy above. i made a list of everyone i could think of. checked who had the best feedback going on responce times and personalizeations, did them first, got like 4 back within 2 weeks, got the remainder of my list. chose the people who i liked alot and were 2nd fastest responces and sent them so on and so forth.

My advice is to save your stamps, and write to people you really like/admire ;-)

It is slightly different for us charity collectors though - I try to write to people whose autographs I know will be saleable, not necessarily somebody I admire :lol:

I don't even set a target of how many autographs I want or see it as a race or anything - it's just nice to write to someone you really admire and perhaps get an auto back! That's probably why I will never have more than 100 autographs! :D[/quote] lol, I feel you on that one Lizanne, I might not even be able to get to 50 :D most of my heroes that I would absolutely cherish autographs from are either dead (Bob Marley, Joe Strummer, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain,
etc) or don't sign ttm (Franz Ferdinand, Pete Doherty, Paul McCartney etc) :( at the moment, for me, its very hard to find celebrities in music or film that really set off a spark inside me and make me want to write!

I think you're a fan when you enjoy and love a certain person's work, like films or music. ;) That's when I decide to write to someone. I will NEVER write to someone just to have their autograph or if I'm not a fan. That's probably why I will never have more than 100 autographs! :D

I mostly send to characters from television shows I'm a fan of, so that makes that easy, because naturally I want the whole cast. Then I send to musicians that I really enjoy, not just ones that are on my ipod that I listen to every once in a while, but the ones that I listen to at least once a day, if not more. Actors and Actresses I usually only send to if I'm a fan of more than one thing that they're in, unless it's Harry Potter lol. And models, I send to the ones that are personally the most beautiful to me.
