I went with charity, but I'm really on the edge with this issue. First, I wouldn't pay anything if they didn't personalize it. Second, I'd be more willing to pay if it goes to a good cause. But in the end, I feel like I'm slightly "cheating" by paying to get it (this excludes getting it in person, because that includes the experience of meeting the celeb).

Good question MCF {thumb2} I look at it two ways. In one way it is a success because you recieve the signature of a celebrity you are a fan of, but on the other hand you didn't recieve it through your own merit. You get an autograph but it's not through the quality of the fan letter you wrote.

Absolutely. I have no problem purchasing autographs. I'd rather receive a price list than a preprint, autopen or secretarial. However, I will not purchase if the celeb, athlete, etc. insists on it being personalized. I only did that once although I didn't know he was going to personalize it and it was a must have. do you consider a autograph you had to pay for a succes? what i mean by this is lets say the celeb sends you back a price list or a postcard saying you have to pay a certain amount for a personalized pic and/or a certain amount for a non personalized pic do you consider it a succes. (do you consider it a succes if you pay them i mean its obviously a failure responce if you get a price list and a semi succes if you get postcard but ya) also a very similar circumstance lets say the celeb mysteriously stops singing ttm and starts selling personalized autos on their site and and you buy one do you consider that a succes.

ps i hope my point was put across because i really tried to put it across and used commas and periods, anyway if you didnt understand what i meant i meant do you consider having to pay for a auto a succes? if you didnt understand then politely tell me please and i will edit it dont say buy a dictionary, because i am smart its just i didnt know how to explain this qusteion
p.p.s this is a general qusteion and something i was wondering not something that should be called meaningless just something i was wondering.
