I don't really understand why some members need sugar coating and this board encourages it. That is pretty pathetic. They shouldn't post if they won't accept all views, opinions, and answers and will only listen to what they want to hear. The real world does not sugar coat things. This board is doing wrong by sheltering their members.

And I'm a big boy - if I get picked on and ganged up on I can handle myself. I'm not intimidated by the internet, lmfao.
I've been an autograph collector for a very long time and I agree this board isn't particularly helpfull and enlightening for experienced collectors but I come here because I like helping out those who are new to the hobby and a lot of members on here are kids just starting out.
I've been chatting to Anthony (Miley Cyrus Fan) in pm for a while now and he's a really good kid who is so enthusiastic about the hobby. I know (and so does he ;-) ) that he gets over excited about autographs but try and be a little bit patient with him coz he is a well liked member here and doesn't deserve to be patronised by more experienced collectors.
Yes I'm sure he's a good kid and I'm sure he's enthusiastic but he has to realize that this hobby takes patience. I told him that and he was like 'Well I have zero patience'. If he's really impatient he should just not do this hobby. WHat I think he does is he send something and just thinks on it every day. You shouldn't be like that because you can't expect to get something in the mail everyday. I've been collecting for only like three months and I haven't gotten a lot of autographs but MCF just has to realize that this hobby requires a deal of patience.... :roll:
thanks again marg ,and skye i no your not gonna get something everyday im happy if i get something once a month, its just with certain peoples autographs i badly want them and i think about how happy id be if i got them. now i love this hobby and wouldnt quit it just because i have zero paitence, but sometimes i really do over anticipate i wont lie. and i have been a autograph collector for a couple years not long like marg said & ttm only since may 07 so ya. but ya i understand this hobby you need paitence and sometimes i got the paitence somedays i dont. anyway guys ill try to ligthen up but nothing can change the lack of paitence i got. lmao

btw this is my first year of collecting on my own eg buying autographs on my own without my rents at the store and getting autographs ttm. lol ive even bought autographs when ive been out with freinds. and skye you seem like a good person as well so all the best to you

Ok, there is no need to be sacastic, and I dont agree with your facts that 80% of the fanmail gets trashed either. But it is true that some members need sugar coating. They would only accept the answer they are expecting. Sorry but that is the case here unfortunatly, and if you dont obey the 'rules' you would be ganged up and picked on, so just try to deliver your message in a more comfortable way for others to read and accept.

i know but why do you have to say i may never get a succes thats not really hope raising

If you can't face the truth then why do you post threads asking questions like this? Not everyone is going to sugar coat their answers and say "Oh yeah!! you should just keep waiting!!" especially when the truth of the matter is your letter was most likely trashed just like 80% of all our fan letters to people.

Moridin, seriously you are the only one here starting stuff. Keep your hopes up, because my little cousin is a big fan and has also wrote to Miley Cyrus about a week ago. (My idea)

But anyways Moridin do you even collect autographs?
If so is this what you think to yourself every time you send out a letter?

Back off and just give some advice to the Miley Cyrus fan.

Anyways good luck {thumb2}
