Of course I would rather have an authentic autograph but a PP is better than nothing at all.

Atleast the celeb sends their fans something.
I think most celebs who don't want to sign their fanmail send out PPs and autopens and such because they think most fans won't notice the difference anyway.

I agree that sending out PPs is nicer than secretarials. Sending out a copy of your authentic signature is always better than sending out fake signatures signed by someone else.

if the celeb you send too isn't a HUGE celeb is it safe to say its not secretarial?

I honestly don't like PP's at all. I get really annoyed and irritated when I receive a PP after months of waiting. I don't keep them. It's a waste of postage and effort and is of no use to me. I hope I don't sound selfish but I collect authentics.

I used to keep my preprints but now I only keep my authentics. I guess I got a bit spoiled! Luckily, I can't remember when the last time was when I got a preprint!

I just leave them in the envelope and keep it with the returned SASE/SAE ...

Could not have said better. PPs are real nice looking when you think about it rather than a stamped or sometimes an autopen can be bad. I do as said prefer authentics though too!

I chuck them away unless the picture's particularly nice. I don't like them at all. I would rather have my letter rts so that I can use the sase on another celebrity! {thumb2}
