I believe it is a pre-printed signed photo. I received one and it was pre-printed. Hope this helps.

I have had some success by requesting a signed book plate to place in the authors book. As for signed photos, I never had one sent. I do know that Stephen King used to sign a book that was sent to him, I sent one a few years ago, but I do not know if he still does. Hope this helps a little. :) Lionk...
