Hi Diora,
I luckily found a little scale to do his.
If it helps you,
a A5 foto on thick paper is around 8 gram
Don't have a C5 letter to weigh it, but I can see it's about half a A4 letter; so I guess 10 gram max
10+8+8; your 2 IRC's (worth 40gram) are more than enough

Re I made some calculations for the people who are (like me) preparing their first batch of letters to go out. Analysis: If you expect (like I do) that they send you a authograph (8"x10") on marketing/high-end paper in a normal A4/Letter Large envelope, you get: 1 picture 8"x10" ...

Re: irc
Hi,
It all depends on the weight of the envelope they are going to send back to you
There are online calculators, but I find them confusing and off
In general, 5 are more than enough from what I've read.
2 could work, small envelope with small picture

Re: Writing in the languade of person you want authograph from?
Ok, thx for info
I mix it a bit, again, I'm pretty sure an assistent/agent opens letters first; don't want him to toss it away
I'll write letter in english with a small part (2 lines) in french then; got 2 people in mind.
Cheers
Sven

Writing in the languade of person you want authograph from?
Hi, Would it make sense to write in the language of the actor/actress grew up in? For example, should I write to somebody like Jean-Claude Van Damme (just an example), he is originally from Belgium like me, and speaks French. Would that make sense for or be extra polite to write him a french letter?...

Hi There, I'm kinda new to this, my goal is not going to be collecting many, but rather have my favorites. I would love once of Nicolas Cage, got the address, but read it's a good idea to add International Reply coupons and own pictures. 2 questions about this: 1. I read on sticky posts that some ag...
