i was thinking of making a donation w/ my request. does anyone knowhow much i should send?

tried 3 times all with lor's, then 8x10, then index card, then football card. every time i got back my item with a pre print picture. does the donation really help? It would be a great piece to add to my collection, i just cant get it.
