Receiving from another country and customs
So, up until now I've only sent the yellow 8x10 envelopes when requesting photos, this time I did a photo/document envelope as I REALLY don't want anything to happen to this photo. When I mailed it out yesterday my post office said I needed customs forms to send it priority since I wasn't/couldn't u...

Re: About SASE
On SASE's you only put your information on it, not the actors.

Re: Anyone here Canadian? And in Canada...
I was never great at math and when we were being taught the conversions to the metric system it all went right over my head! So I had no idea that's what it was, the kilograms vs grams threw me I guess. I'd rather spend a little more though and have the picture arrive safely via a photo/document mai...

Re: Anyone here Canadian? And in Canada...
Well, think I have it all figured out, called the customer service number and the guy I spoke to said the envelope I have would indeed be fine, it is the stamps that matter. I am still waiting on my stamps to be sent and I'm wondering if this is normal. I purchased them Friday and yet the order stil...

Re: Anyone here Canadian? And in Canada...
Yup, sending to Canada and return will be coming back to me in the US, so do need Canadian stamps, of which I will hopefully receive yet this week. Still might need to call the postal service there to double check as I weighed the return envelope and it weighs 4.2oz which converts to 119.07g, so if ...

Re: Anyone here Canadian? And in Canada...
Okay, I think I have it figured out now. All I need to do is take the return envelope to work and weigh it on our postage meter to see how much it weighs. It would be at the max of the non-standard and oversized letter post, below. Looks like if the weight is up to or under 100g(grams I'm assuming),...

Re: Anyone here Canadian? And in Canada...
Thank you Johnnylightning. So I did buy some Canadian stamps from the postal services website, still waiting for them to be sent but I just bought them yesterday so probably won't even be sent til Monday. Bought the $1.20 value ones as thats what the site says is the standard rate from Canada to the...

Re: Anyone here Canadian? And in Canada...
Okay, well, the website print and ship didn't work so I couldn't do that. I ended up buying some stamps to be shipped to me. Per the website they're worth $1.20- the standard rate for mail from Canada to the US. So, if the one person who got something from this actor had it sent to her for $2.20(Can...

Re: Anyone here Canadian? And in Canada...
Yeah, I'm really doing something wrong. I finally found another way to calculate via the buy postage online and its still wrong, it has to be based off what I said in my prior post. This time it's showing $16.71! I don't know how else to figure this out! My God I don't know why our post office doesn...

Re: Anyone here Canadian? And in Canada...
You are correct, unfortunately I seem to be doing something wrong as I get a price of $73-$75 when I attempt to calculate postage from there to me and I know there is no way that is correct. Especially seeing as someone else who had a picture mailed to her as a thank you still has the envelope and i...
