I know this isn't an autograph success, but I think it's way better. I bought a game used Cardinals hat used by Bucky Dent during his Cardinals coaching days, '91-'94, the years I was in the Persian Gulf. A few friends of mine wanted to see it when it came in and here it is.
Anyone know what the substance could be on the MLB insignia? Looks like old hair gel...LOL or maybe pine tar? Opinions are appreciated.

Would pine tar flake when old? It looks like I could peel or pick it off, but don't want to. My wife tried to convince me to wash it because the sweatband is really grimy, but I think I'll try to clone Bucky and sell him to the Cardinals...LOL. Thanks, Warlord

Mystery solved. It is his '94 hat, and there was a 125th Anniversary pin on the back of their hats. I found the holes where the pin was. Anyway, I figure it to be glue and either he lost it, took it or someone else did. I'm buying one off ebay to replace it. Just though someone might like to know.
