Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer success on same day

Unread post by UKMK75 »

I was very happy to receive both photos signed on the same day funnily.

Sent to Julie Andrews on 14.11.13 and Christopher Plummer on 28.01.14 to the addresses in the database.

I originally posted both pictures but later decided I'd rather keep it to myself as I haven't posted a success before but I was unable to delete my original post.

Since then I've had to defend myself against the lovely cjhanson, so I thought I'd clarify my actions.

That's very unusual for Julie Andrews to sign a photo sent TTM. Her secretary usually sends out a rejection form letter stating that it's illegal for her to sign copyrighted photos.

I see you deleted your posting about having a success from Julie Andrews. Makes me think you lied about it and got scared so you decided to delete it.

You should probably clarify that the rejections are when you write to her via her agent/secretary. Via venue there is a fair chance of success signing photos & she will sign non-photos (eg books/bookplates) via fee agent/secretary.

No, actually I decided to keep it to myself as people like you, cjhanson, and your jealousies are the reason I've not posted any successes before on here.

To clarify, I sent her book, Home, and a photo to Ms Andrews and was very happy to receive both back signed. I'm such a fan and really happy with this success but this will be my last post.

Good luck to anyone else who tries.

I sent to a one day show at a venue around 2005 or 2006. I sent a Hollywood Walk of Fame card and got it back signed so there are rare successes under different circumstances.

I sent a book to the p.o. box not too long ago. Haven't heard back yet, though.

It's good to know she will still sign. I got several successes from the PO Box about 10 years ago but all people seem to receive now is the secretarial form letter.
