Notice any differences? The J is signed completely different, I've seen several authentic Elton Johns and never ever seen him do the "pointy" J like that. If it was rushed it would still be consistent (quicker to sign one smooth line than 3 jointed bits?). The E is also completely different. Don't fool yourself, this is an obvious fake and just because you have your Barca blinkers on doesn't make it real.

Well about my "Barca blinkers":
Firstly it was Milan, and secondly it was 2 years ago. I was a complete newbie on this site and didn't know much about autograph collecting.

I was a 13 years old boy, who was hoping that his autos were real... they were not, so i made a mistake. I'm still learning and someday I hope that will reach the level your inexhaustible intellect.

Then the somebody who wrote the signature managed to pull off details like very similar handwriting, flow and signing habits, as well as the loopy "t" in Elton, but was dumb enough to write the capitals completely different. It looks to me like he more "wrote his name" rather than made his stylized signature in joined handwriting. Which is weird, too, of course.

What puzzles me is: if you forge a signature and are aware of the details, you probably are familiar with what the sig mostly looks like. So you´d try to make it look like that, and not write capitals obviously differently, right? I would expect forgery - of someone familiar with - to be vice versa - look like, but differ in details.

Correct me if I am wrong, I am not here to argue, I would love to learn.

You can't base it off the word "with", which looks to be very simple anyway. I could make a great copy of the word "with" and you'd think it was real, wouldn't you?

And actually, it was Messi. I remember vividly you saying "If you think Barca send secs, then you're a joke". Guess the joke's on you now.

Your thinking might be correct RobertaRight! This seems to be quite logical. But if I'm trying to forge a sig I don't practise the handwriting. You practise more likely the sig, don't you.

@ Drwho: I've never left a comment on a Messi auto (I think). Only Milan. You must have confused me with another person, as I would NEVER say that you are a joke. I'm not so primitive. (Check out my posts if you want)
