Are these authentic?

Unread post by wish upon a star »

I've been looking on the Autograph World website and I have found a few autographs that I may want to bid on but I am not sure if they are authentic. Are most autographs from that site authentic? The actors whose autographs that I am looking to bid on have passed away so I have no way of getting them TTM.

I am not sure if anyone is familiar with these actors signatures or not but I thought I would ask for someones opinion. The bidding ends on the 16th.

The first autograph that I am interested in bidding on is Farrah Fawcett. I bought my Mom the Charlie's Angels TV series on DVD or Christmas and I fell in love with the show and Ms. Fawcett's character Jill! I loved the character of Jill! She just seemed fun, lol! Ms. Fawcett also played in the movie Man of the House, which I love!

Here is the listing; http://www.signaturepieces.com/auction/lot.asp?item=305

Here is a picture that someone on fanmail.biz got signed; http://img510.imageshack.us/f/scan0001en1.jpg/

It looks similar with the swooshy lines so it looks legit to me but I'm not sure, lol.

The second is John Forsythe who provided Charlie's voice in the Charlie's Angels TV show and movies. It's funny because when my Mom and I first started watching the DVDs for the show I said "That guy/voice sounds just like the Charlie in the movies!!".. I looked up the show on IMDb afterwards and it turns out that it was the same person/voice! Haha. I thought that was great!

Here are thetwo different listings for him;

2. http://www.signaturepieces.com/auction/lot.asp?item=324

Here are a few pictures that I found on fanmail.biz for him;

3. http://img222.imageshack.us/i/johnforsythedh3.jpg/
4. http://img164.imageshack.us/i/johnforsythedc8.jpg/

Do you think it is real? I see some similarities. I'm kind of leaning on bidding on the first picture in the red jacket [robe?] because, to me, that is what Charlie would look like, lol.

I was also wondering if you think this Richard Harris autograph seems/looks authentic? I can't really find any pictures to compare it to.

Here is the listing; http://www.autographworld.com/original/ ... p?item=216

Thank you for any help!
-Tiffany

**The comparisons pictures belong to those who obtained the autographs. I am in no way juding the authenticity of those, I am merely wanting to find out about the Autograph World listings**
**I will go back and credit the users whose pictures I have used if anyone prefers**

I'm certainly not the authority on Autograph World, but from what I have heard they are a legitimate autograph-selling site.
Favorite autographs received: ALAN RICKMAN!!, Henry Ian Cusick (received IP!), John Saul, J.K. Rowling, R.L. Stine, Smokey Robinson, Emma Thompson, Alex Trebek, Colin Firth, David Tennant, John Simm and loads more! I love them all :D

Most wanted: Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Morrissey, Naveen Andrews, Sean Connery
