Good grief - could we give it a rest? If I didn't unfortunately know better, I would think that I was reading a conversation between some of my middle school students.

Unfortunately, there seems to be at the heart of these mud-slinging discussions a distinct difference in philosophies between collectors. On the one hand you have the assumed "purists" who think that the self-addressed envelope is sacred; on the other you have the supposed "outlaws" who are ruining the hobby by using e-mail.

In fact, there is no real moral distinction, just one of economics. If one person wants to spend upwards of $200 to get 100 autographs, he is not ethically superior - perhaps just privileged with more disposable income.

There seems to be a generally accepted typical scenario, which is: 1) idolize a celebrity because of their talent, 2) send them a prized collection of pictures, and 3) wait longingly by the mailbox for a reply. There's nothing particularly wrong with it - it's just not what I want to do.

I have personally decided that the best use of my resources is to follow this pattern: 1) research who is in different fields, be it sports, entertainment, or politics, 2) send out lots of e-mails, EXPECTING NOTHING, and 3) graciously accept whatever response I get, be it rejection, response, or nothing at all, and determine that perhaps I will be a fan of a particular celebrity based more on their generosity and not just their talent alone.

You may not choose to follow that path, but I have accumulated over 500 autographs in the past 18 months using this pattern. You may not agree with those of us who do so, but please don't presume to judge us.

Whether or not these are real or fake I dont care, but because of you guys theres gonna be alot of people trying to get ahold of this email and it's going to get spammed. That was a straight up stupid comment. If I had the email, I would not waste Taylor or her agents time or money asking for an autograph. I cant stand Taylor Swift, and unlike the spammers, I dont get autographs of people I dont care about, or in this case, that I don't like. Dont assume things, especially from people you dont know.

Now it appears you dont quite fully understand this situation. People were getting mad eariler that this "private" email would get out and be spammed, causing her not to send out any more autographs (As has happened to other celebs). My comment was proving them right, that tons of people are now going to try and get ahold of this email address and spam it, as was proven by multiple people messaging me asking for it.

Good lord, clue in buddy. First of all, I didnt ever really doubted they were real. I had no opinion either way, because I simply am not familiar with her signature. Feel free to go through every post I ever made on this subject, and you will see I never said they were fake or real. And I honestly still could care less if it's fake or not.

Second, thank you for proving what kind of person you actually are. "I dont care if it gets spammed. I got my autograph" <- It's scum like you that ruin this hobby for the rest of us. I really hate selfish people like that, who only care about themselves. You'd think a real "fan" like yourself would have the respect to both Taylor/her managment (or who ever runs that email) and the rest of the autograph collecting community to not want that to get spammed. I dont care that you're trying to make a point that they're real, I care that your helping to ruin this hobby for others.

And to think, you're the one going around calling people jerks. What a joke
