Anne Hathaway.

Unread post by Dougieness »

I cant believe I've brought myself to do this. My Anne Hathaway has always been one I have loved and to see it proved to be fake might just crush me!

So any opinions?
I'll attach mine:

and an authentic from AW.com
http://www.autographworld.com/original/ ... p?item=264

The way I saw it, was her IP was less detailed than her TTM as it seemed a bit rushed, but I'm really unsure.

Any Opinions?

I sent the picture from a Hollywood issue of Vanity Fair a few years ago,
and I sent to the William Morrison address, which is now RTS.

c/o Management 360
9111 Wilshire Blvd.
Beverly Hills, CA 90210
USA

That may work! :)

Hi Dougie! ;-)

After doing some searching, I really don't know what to think but I'll post some pics for you to compare. {up}

Firstly, some in person autographs from Anne:
The autograph below was obtained in person by a member here on Fanmail.biz in June 2006:

Then, the autograph from AutographWorld:

As you can see in the above scans, the "A" in both looks the same (it reminds me of Al Pacino's autograph!). Also, she doesn't write her full name, only an "A", "H" and "y" at the end is actually visable!

Then, her first TTM successes posted back in 2005, the below one was received in October 2005:
Image
The above scan's autograph is a match to the in person ones posted above, except she wrote her full name. Again, the "A" looks the exact same as in person scans, and so does the "H".

Now comparing your autograph to the above photos, the "A" differs a lot from in person scans. Also, the handwriting in the above TTM autograph (which is authentic) is very different than yours. :? Compare the "M" in "My" and the "M" in "Much love!", it is very different and I believe not done by the same person. {down} Below is another TTM autograph received back in April 2005:

You can compare the handwriting, but the "A" bothers me a lot - it's too different from yours.

Anne's autographs is a difficult one, there isn't too many differences but there's enough "little" things that makes me lean towards secretarial (successes received since late 2006). I mean, the general shape of the autograph and letters seems quite similar, but I don't know... :?

It's up to your to decide what to believe! {thumb2} I'm between secretarial and authentic...

Good luck,
zanne

I have to agree somewhat with Zanne. Anne's ttm's are believed to be secretarial, we've had several discussions about this a few months back. Anni has actually very different hand writing then her ttm. Her handwriting is much more curly and bigger too, and even the angle of writing is different, her ttm leans to the right more as her ip is more upright. Also the A and H are written very differently. I remember how disappointed I was when I got Anni's ttm and realized it was not authentic. So I feel for you.

I too have been torn over the authenticity of Anne's TTM signatures. I got this one

Image

in 2006 via the set of Ella Enchanted in Ireland, and it came back from Ireland too. The signature more closely matches the AW one, but the personalization matches perfectly the older TTM ones. I do know that she uses a secretary at least sometimes, which give the very different signatures that are sometimes seen TTM, but I would lean towards authentic on the ones from 2005, but by no means sure, and the one that was originally asked about I would say is definitely secretarial.
