Althought that one on ebay looks very old I have never known Dick to sign that way. In my opinion the 'D's are a dead give away that it isnt authentic but I am not a huge expert and maybe he used to sign his d's that way but not that I know of. Im not really sure but gut instinct was of a fake but as it is personalized it could be a secretarial.

I believe yours like the other TTM ones are authentic.

Sorry Im not of more help

There's no real proof, that Dick van dyke, has ever sent authentics TTM. Automaticilly, we would all wish, that ALL autographs are authentic, I wrote to him VV and have never got an answer, this to me is very telling, simple put he does not like to send them out.

Once a celeb, answers VV then it put my mind at ease. But is'ot it strange, that while he was working on a movie in Canada, there was loads of success, from the normal address many hundreds of miles away.

This does'ot take away that Dick is a top star, and an outstanding actor.

If you can prove, otherwise, then please do, not "I have received his autograph, therefore it's authentic"

autoland what you say is correct........his in person autograph is certainly in short supply .......but i would be surprised that after all these years he has been signing noboby would have picked up on this by now if there was any discrepancy with the in persons that are available.... [however short in supply they are ]and his ttm version.......i personally have never heard any dealer question the authenticity of his ttm autographs ..........

Thanks so much, for being a voice of reason, it's not that I doubt (every autograph) as I've and will always say, that many are still authentic, my main interest, is and always will be that everyone gets an authentic (not just me)

And as far as Dick van dyke is concerned, I would dearly like his autograph, because being born in the very early 1960's (1962) I've grown up watching his stuff, and almost view him as an UNCLE.

You are an all time great poster mate {thumb2} {thumb2} :D :D

I know ebay isnt an ideal site to give examples from but here is a recent Dick Van Dyke in person autograph with photo proof. SA you can see apart from it being rushed as it is in person the sig is a lot closer together and my greatest fear is probably confirmed that the TTm ones are secreatrial. Also I could be wrong but for an 82 year old to sign so much TTM and to be so neat and tidy also triggers suspicions. I know Dick is very with it etc for his age but still!

I am just as gutted as evryone else. I so wanted it to be signed by him but unless I see evidence supporting otherwise Im 99% confident they are secretarial
