Hi.
I've just been thinking about this one, how close does his TTM look to his IP autographs.
I really dont think I have ever seen an IP from him, and ages back I remember reading somewhere that his may be secretarial, but without any hard proof, I just dont know.

It seems that almost weekly someone claims yet another of my autos could be secretarial.
I finally got Leslie after over a years wait and I have no doubt over thier authenticity. Not because of the long wait but I just know. I have no proof to back it up Im just certain they are signed by him

Wow you waited a long time, I got a signed photo, in about 8-9 weeks.
I understand, what you are saying, about weekly reports, to as your autos are secretarial or not. I sent 3 e-mails to Tony Curtis over 18 months, then only when I wrote, to his home address did I get a very quick answer, with 2 personalized 8x10 photos.
And sadly found out, it's not really him signing, by someone who got 2 items signed himself.
Being quite honest, I would rather be told the truth, (however hurtful) about my autographs, then people just saying (it's authentic) because they rather not hear otherwise.
Oh yes I like you wholeheartly think (at present anyway) that Leslie did sign yours and my autographs {thumb2} {thumb2}

I am going to an autograph show on Oct. 4th and will meet (among others) Leslie Nielsen. I'm going to have him sign an 8x10. I'll post the IP soon therafter for all to compare.
Happy Collecting,
Chappy

Hey that must be the same show I am going to. (The one in Burbank) I am going to ask Mr Nielsen himself. That should clear it up once and for all.

Yes... I'm going to the Burbank show. In addition to Leslie Nielsen I'm after the Lost In Space cast, Tom Laughlin (I'm old so I remember "Billy Jack") and Clint Walker (again, I'm old). It's a great show with so many old time celebrities mixed with a few "not quite so old" celebrities.
The last show I got all the "Sweathogs" from Welcome Back Kotter. They were very nice and accomodating. I have been able to put together a very nice IP autograph collection thanks to The Hollywood Collectors Show. One of my favorite memories is a recent one. I got to meet David Lander.....Squiggy from Laverne & Shirley. I had him sign a "Lenny & The Squiggtones record album. He was really surprised to see me with a still shrink wrapped album. He signed it and then asked me to sit down and talk about it. He told me how they wrote the songs, the tour they went on and his favorite cuts from the album. A very memorable experience. Just thinking about The Hollywood Collectors Show gets me going!! It's too bad that they don't do things like that everywhere. I know I got off topic here so....my apologies and Happy Collecting!!!

Yeah, I love the Hollywood collectors show too. It's a great place to meet a lot of 'older' celebrities. Next weekend I am mostly looking forward to meeting Christopher Atkins and Tony Dow. Also Erika Eleniak, Leslie Nielsen, Corey Haim and Alan Ruck are on my list. There usually is some time to actually talk with the celebrities and ask them some questions. It's too bad I missed the last one a few months ago, I heard Tori Spelling and Dylan McDermott where there. Did you make it to that one?

Yes.. I was at that one. Tori Spelling was very gracious although she looked like she wanted to be elsewhere. I did something kinda cool at that show. Lou Ferrignio was there and I took a picture of him with my 12 year old grandson(I told you I was old). Then I had the digital picture printed out by some folks out in the lobby for $5.00. It was an 8x10. I brrought it back in and had Lou autograph it. It cost $40.00 but what a great memento. It's such a conversation piece now.
You can go crazy at these shows but I got to watch the budget. I always email the promoters after the show and thank them for putting such a show on.
Another great way to collect authentic autographs is through book signings. I've been collecting signed books for quite a while now. If you check Book Soup here in Los Angeles you don't even have to go to the signings....they'll ship you a signed copy if you order ahead of time. Check out their webite.
Happy Collecting,

Thanks for the tip about the books. I live in Arizona myself and although LA isn't that far, its still a long trip for just 1 autograph.
The best in person experiences I've had were at the collectors show. One year I met Sally Struthers and she is just the greatest person you'll ever meet. After she signed my picture (she gave me a very funny inscription) I asked her for a picture, and because I usually keep a polite distance (don't want to crowd them) she said: "come here, and give me a hug like you like me". It's such a funny picture, me being squashed by Sally Struthers. I hope to meet her again sometime and have her sign the picture.
