Hi I got this TTM today, Ive took a close up to see if anyone can help, im really bad at checking for AP's
Its done in ball point pen. Its different from the printed autograph on the letter I got. when I say different I mean for EG the K, in mine C part of K is apart but on the printed one the C goes into l. :neutral: Im not making sence!

To me, that doesn't look AP. The ends of the J and g lift off, as do all points of the K, autopens don't do this. I could be wrong though.

I agree with osiris. NOT an autopen.

its not autopen...ive never seen a autopen written by ball point pen..its nearly always either sharpie or marker..there is no abrupt stops at the ends of the first letter[ j]in fact theres a slight trail..........[authentic]

It's an AP or a Secretarial.
Autograph magazine had pictures exactly like this in one issue about authors that respond with signatures that look real but are actually fake.
And I mean exactly. Same bookplate, same everything.
Sorry.

What proof did they have? I mean - apparently, it is not an AP and therefore it must be a secretarial.

Hi LikelyLadsfan

I believe your autograph is authentic.
1) It is not an AP as it has no AP features; there are parts of the autographs where more pressure is applied.. Also I have never seen AP done with a ball pen
2) It can not be a PP as the autograph "sticks out"
3) It is not a sec- autograph as it matches Rowling's IP autographs and her preprint signature on the letter
From what I have seen, Rowling only sends out PPs and authentics, no sec- or APs.

Also JK isn't really that busy atm, so she's probably doing a lot more signing {thumb2}
