As many of you wonder whether Shia's TTM signatures are authentic, secretarial, preprint or autopenned, I've decided to make a new topic so we can discuss it here. {thumb2} First of all, to date all feedback received from Shia's agency (in the database) are definitly handsigned, thus not autopenned or preprinted. But whether his autographs TTM is handsigned by Shia himself or a secretary, that's why we need your thoughts.

Firstly, here's authentic in person examples, all from AutographWorld.com:

Now, let's look at the characteristics of Shia's signature:
- the "S" has sharp corners, if you know what I mean! The lines aren't smooth but rather makes a point.
- the gap between the top line and the middle line of the "S" is much bigger than the gap between the bottom line and the middle.
- the two horizontal lines always go from the top left to the bottom right, through the "S". Compare to the quick images I made below:

- his "S" is quite flat, not round.
Here's what I believe to be authentic signed by Shia TTM autographs, all from last year:

The reason why I believe the above autographs to be authentic, is because they don't match to the usual secretarial ones and they have the same characteristics of the in person examples.

Now, here's what the much more often TTM secretarial autographs look like:

Notice the direction of the horizontal lines going through the “Sâ€: the above secretarial’s lines go from bottom left to top right, whereas authentic ones always go from top left to bottom right. Shia surely wouldn’t do it different every time, as all in person autographs I’ve seen always looks the same. This signature looks too perfect - the lines are straight and the "S" looks feminine. Sure, all the scans seem similar but when you really look at the autograph, you can clearly see the difference.

:arrow: Now, here’s my theory on Shia’s TTM autographs:
Shia personally signs a bunch of photos every now and then when he visits his agency. His agent sends them out as requests come in. Obviously, because of his popularity, his photos must get send out pretty quickly. So, when the agent runs out of signed photos, she simply signs a bunch herself (as his autograph is very easy to fake). That would explain the two different types of autographs received TTM. Thus, I personally believe all photos send to Shia by fans are secretarial signed as it get returned very fast and doesn't look authentic.
As Shia’s autographs are very easy to fake, we’ll never be able to tell whether they’re 100% authentic or not, but everyone can draw their own conclusions. {thumb2}
Hope this helps & feel free to post your thoughts!
