Using the same address others have posted successes from (Ketchum, ID), I received a personalized autograph once in 2001 and another one in 2004.

Both of these autographs I held prized in my collection until I saw Mr. West's name listed on the List of Celebrities Believed To Send Secretarial Autographs as posted on this website: http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic ... 6&t=103047

Here are my two autographs (B&W rec'd 2001, DVD cover rec'd 2004)

What do you think? Is Mr. West secretarial or authentic?

Hi, here's an IP I got of Mr West. I think it was 2003. Hope it helps!
I wanted him to inscribe "Some Days You Just Cant Get Rid Of A Bomb" but he said it was too much to write. :D

@ scifiguy

Upon inspection, my autographs look like they were definitely look like yours...but if Adam West does sign authentically through the mail, then why is Mr. West's name listed on the List of Celebrities Believed To Send Secretarial Autographs as posted here: http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic ... 6&t=103047

I'm not absolutely sure, about these autographs being authentic???

As he does sell, signed photos on his website, and let's be honest he is not making any films these days, and does need the money.

When I saw him at an autograph show, in the Uk 2 years ago, he was then selling his autographs, for £20/$40 then.

And as it says: you pay for his autograph, and get the photo free, so why would Mr west sign for nothing???

I got to agree. When I met him a few months ago at The Hollywood Collectors Show in Burbank,Calif. He was all business. I did not want him to personalize a photo. He absolutely refused even though I was paying him $40.00 for his graph. No big deal as I simply removed his personalization. Burt Ward on the other hand was very accomodating. Adam West was exteremely pompous acting as he was the BIG STAR. If you ever encounter him you'll see what I mean. I simply can't imagine him signing for free.

Happy Collecting!!

I believe someone in these forums said the ones that are signed for free are secretarials, and the ones you pay for are authentic---they better be authentic if you pay for them!

But that does bring up what has already been mentioned: If he is selling his autographs, then why can you get them for free?

So sorry for your disappointment. I know how you feel!

You raise a good point about if the celeb charges a fee for an autograph in person, at conventions, etc..., then why would they sign for free TTM...?

The only problem with me relying on that theory is that number of exceptions I know of: Kate Mulgrew charges $30 USD for autographs at conventions yet signs for free via venue ie 'Eqqus', Laura Vandervoort charged $25 USD for autographs but signs for free TTM, Henry Winkler charges $30 IP but signs for free TTM, and Michael Rosenbaum charges $25 IP but has started signing TTM for free too.

These are only a handful of people that I know of personally because I met them all at conventions recently so you can probably understand why I can't rely on that theory, although it is still arguable given Mr. West's attitude as you stated Chappy...

And you also make a good point nightowl, why would he charge for autographs through his website, but then sign for free TTM...hmmmmmmm

Any other thoughts?
