Jason, you've posted 2 secretarial autographs there, thats not exactly a helpful comparison.

Authentics have the line for the 2nd "t" in Thatcher above the t.

Secretarials have the line crossing the t or beside the t.

The one in question is secretarial. Shes stopped signing due to ill health.

The sample I posted was recieved last year in Nov before she stopped signing.

Andy - Do you mind showing us a sample of what you would regonise as an authentic Thatcher autograph?

Thanks,
Jason.

sure she is ill but just that the T is different does not mean she has a SEC signing!everbody changes their writing, even who to write one letter!looking at the autograph they do look very similar.just maybye the T!but dont know..but still.

Several others here - http://www.autografica.co.uk/advanced_s ... er&x=0&y=0

The small t is a trait that doesnt "just change".

Show me an authentic where she's ever signed the small t like that and I'll happily shut up on the matter. But you won't find one.

I agree with Mr Kennedy - recent autographs simply seems too forced and traced, not flowing like the authentic example posted by Andy. {up} And as Mr Kennedy said, with some (most, actually) people's signatures, there's this part which is always the same (in Margaret's case, the little "t") and they will not suddenly make it different. It is quite easy to spot, because when it's different (even just a little), you will immediately notice it because you already know to look out for that specific part.

So, in short, I agree that it's secretarial. :(

Good luck,
zanne
