Lauren Bacall-Secretarial?

Was reading a thread on another site, where it was claimed that Ms Bacall's ttm autographs are all secretarial and that she stopped signing some years ago. Any views on this?

Also when I received my autographs late last year, her signature is getting kinda shaky now. If you look at her earlier signature (which looks the same to me as the TTM ones), the handwriting isn't as wobbly. So unless her secretary is ageing with her...

Many thanks. I was checking you tube and they have clips of Joan Fontaine and Lauren Bacall (among others) appearing in the US show "Whats my line." They start by signing their name on a board, both Joan's and Lauren's signatures are distinctive and therefore I am as sure as I can be that the ttm autos are genuine.

Lauren Bacall defenitly sends out authentics! I am 100%

I have gotten her autograph many times "in-person", though she isn't always nicest about signing IP, I went to her book signings a couple of years back. And just today Mar 16 09, I received my request back TTM and I can say for sure the signatures are identical. I will post scans in my own feedback thread. Rest assured on hers being real.

As far as Joan Fontaine, I think those are also authentic, although I have never met her. I have done my research on her, I wouldn't feel comfortable sending to someone unless I was 100% they sent out authentics.

^ LOL! I can imagine that actually. I've always got the impression that you wouldn't want to annoy her or be smart with her or something. Which makes me like her all the more that she is a tough ol' cookie.

haha, yes Ms Bacall is one tough cookie. If you saw her on The Soprano's briefly, thats how she has always been in person. If she says no, it means no.

I think they're real. When I received an autograph from her last year, on the envelope she wrote "Do Not Bend", and it was her handwriting and very shakey.

I doubt a secretary would think to replicate her handwriting to the envelope, which makes me think they're authentic.
