20 NBA Autographs...

My dad gave me this little book today that has 20 NBA Autographs in it. He told me that he'd had the book since I was 8 and his plan was to fill it with autographs of NBA players and give it to me on my 21st birthday, so whenever he went to a game, or he knew someone that was going to a game he'd give them the book and try to get autographs put in it for me. Most efforts were fruitless, hence 20 autographs in 11 years lol, but he did manage to collect some good ones in that book. He gave it to me early to see if I could sell all or some of the autographs in it to help save money for my treatments that have been put on hold. So I was wondering what I would be able to get for each autograph (ballpark) and what you guys thought of them. Also if I should sell them separately or in the book as a whole? There is one instance where there is one autograph on one side of the page, and a different one on the other.... (I've added the names in the margins) Thank you all so much!

Since most of these names are all star or hall of fame calliber names I would consider selling it as a whole

If you are planning to sell it on Ebay I would try it for $300- $500 on "buy it now" and "best offer"

Selling them individualy would be harder and most likely less profitable

If no one buys it after 30 days then I would put it for $300 straight auction and 200-250 buy it now

but in that range is what I think it's worth

The value goes down significantly because it's not a photo or something that is related to that specific player

good luck

There are some great autographs in your book, but maybe for personally collection only. They is not much commercial value, from my point of view.

You know they are authentic for sure, but others don't, you don't have any pictures to prove they are authentic.

Just like people these days are crazy about collecting NBA auto cards from Upper Deck. I believe many people would feel the same, any NBA autos without UD certificate is not legit (especially big stars).

Therefore, i doubt even the Kobe's autograph in your book, could sell more than 50 on EBAY.....

I do agree with Superletter fan mostly

I see autographs all the time without COA that are very expensive on ebay

One argrument in you favor is that if you were going to forge it you would most likely do it on a photo not in a book

However, if you want to sell I would sell on fanmail where people trust you

That way you get maximum amount of money for the book

I have to sell them in order to pay for bills in order to continue treatments. I would love to have been able to keep them, they're great and Scottie Pippen is one of my most wanted. :(

Perhaps it might sell for more if you say it's to pay your medical bills?

Good Luck {thumb2} ,

They all look like authentic IP Autos, and as far as selling, I'm going to have to disagree with the price quoted above, since most of these players if not all already have Company certified autograph cards the market is pretty low for IP Stuff unless it is certified by a reputable company like PSA or JSA or a known authenticator. $300-$500 is a long stretch for an unauthenticated item on ebay.
