John Lennon forgery

The seller of this item wants $800 for it. It's a preprinted autograph, and therefore worthless.

99% sure it is a forgery.

Most of the authenticated autographs of Joh Lennon I can find have a curvy "J". I have found preprinted postcards with the straight line over the J (as in printed), but it seems whenever he is signing his name for an autograph he uses the cursive, curvy, swooping "J" (presumably since it's quicker).

This is absolutely correct. It's not a forgery at all as one user above stated, but rather a printed signature. In the 60s sets of collectable "bubblegum cards" with the Fab 4's printed signatures were released, and the card you've posted above is one of them. Here's an example of some (I can't get bigger images unfortunately, but if you look close enough you can see the signatures):

It drives me crazy that people list these on Ebay like it may be a real autograph. It's worth about $2.
